Leong Sow Hoe

Leong Sow Hoe is a 36-year industry veteran who led the charge as chairman of the IFPAS Alliance STAR Team since 2012, when regulators considered imposing new standards and practices that would have affected practitioners adversely. The team’s continued engagement with the authorities demonstrated Sow Hoe’s leadership and commitment to the well-being of the industry, as well as raised the professional profile of practitioners as people who put clients and community ahead of themselves.He was the president of IFPAS from 2014-2016 and 2018-2020 and currently the Honorary Secretary of APFinSA.

His integrity and passion has won over many who have worked and are working with him under his leadership of different portfolios.

He was conferred the IBF Fellow award in 2016 by the Institute of Banking and Finance Singapore (IBF). The IBF Fellow title recognises industry veterans who exemplify thought leadership and commitment to industry development.
